Deyne practically grew up in a salon. Her mother was a hair stylist and salon owner in St.Louis, MO. Deyne learned from her mother the art of making custom hair accesories and designing elaborate hair styles. She also learned a passion for helping people. It is with great joy that Deyne followed in her mother's footsteps to open her own studio and work with clients on-location to create gorgeous hair for their special events.
Over the past 20 years Deyne has participated many prestigious and challenging classes all over the country. She has traveled to Europe, Canada and South America to maintain her education and to ensure that her techniques in hair design are modern and innovative. Deyne's extensive training and experience, coupled with her sincere attention to her clients' needs have made her a much sought after stylist.
In addition to being a studio and on-location stylist, Deyne has been a platform artist and industry educator for most of her career. Deyne has worked for, and has been an educator for, major brands such as Aveda, Matrix, Logics, Rusk and Bumble & bumble. Considered an expert among her peers, she has frequently been asked to teach classes to other hair stylists. Deyne has been a guest artist at national level symposiums, demonstrating the latest techniques in color and styling. She has given lectures on professional business building, and has designed workshops for bridal events.
In addition to working with hair, Deyne also handmakes bridal and special event hair accessories. It started when she was working with a bride whose veil was not delivered on time! Always mindful of helping her clients, Deyne promised to create something beautiful, and quickly! She gathered up some tulle and went to work! As a collector of vintage jewelry, many of Deyne's pieces have been used to create one-of-a-kind bridal hair designs. Accents and accessories are a one of Deyne's favorite ways to add something special to your hair for parties, dances or receptions.
